I credit my bath to helping me resolve numerous health concerns, as well as an excellent preventative measure. One of the questions I'm often asked is how to use essential oils internally. Well, of course, essential oils are approved for use as food flavors and generally regarded as safe (GRAS) by the FDA in the United States. I do recommend using them as food flavors. Family: Labiatae - mint family crossbreeds abundantly and many varieties can be found. Origin: Europe and Asia and cultivated in many locations, including: the United States, Japan, Spain, Morocco, England and Brazil. Description: Some varieties may grow to a height of 20-32 inches. Leaves are ovate to lanceolate with purple blossoms growing from the axis of the leaves and from the stem.
