What’s It All About?

New Moons bring fresh starts and a new beginning of a cycle. Capricorn’s natural placement on the zodiac wheel is the 10th house. Saturn (the stern task master) is the ruling planet of Capricorn. The 10th house represents your career, executive power, status and standing in the world, how you are recognized on the world stage and your reputation. Your profession, marriage, honors, awards and achievement are all represented by your 10th house. Your status as a mother, father, grandparent, CEO and the like all show up here.

Now you could experience a new beginning in your profession, or your status in the world could somehow be enhanced. Maybe you become a parent, or grandparent for the first time, or you get married, or achieve some recognition you’ve worked long and hard for.

Saturn rewards hard work and a disciplined approach to life. If you want things to come easy Saturn will not oblige you. Hard work, showing up consistently to meet your responsibilities, and serious long-term effort are what Saturn recognizes and rewards.

Capricorn Personality

Capricorn governs the parts of your physical body that give it form and structure, i.e. skeletal system, skin, knees and teeth. During a Capricorn moon (ruled by Saturn) and during the Capricorn season is a great time to focus on these physical structures and give them extra care and support. This is also a perfect time to focus on creating new goals and objectives for your career and other 10th house matters.

Mantra for Capricorn: “I use.” Which simply means that Capricorns are resourceful and will make use of any means available to achieve their objectives.

Capricorns are the bosses of the zodiac and are represented by a goat (a sea goat in recent years). Capricorns have a strong need for purpose and to be useful. They are very committed to whatever endeavor they pursue and want to give an outstanding performance. They are among the most stable, self-confident and strong-willed individuals in the entire pantheon of zodiac signs.

They are usually conservative in their approach, cautious and meticulous in their undertakings. A hallmark of Capricorn is perseverance and persistence. They will persist as long as necessary to accomplish any goal they set for themselves.

Capricorns are known for being reliable and hard-working, organized, rational, logical, stoic and having a good memory. They are the backbone of any association, organization, or company. It’s not unusual for a Capricorn to rise to the top of any field of endeavor. They want to receive recognition and to be admired and respected by others.

One of the most serious minded and diligent signs of the zodiac, Capricorns are stern taskmasters and prone to workaholism. They take their responsibilities seriously and project a realistic outlook which can come across as unnecessarily preachy and restrictive.

Capricorns can stubbornly refuse to change with the times and if they’re required to make concessions they can become overly moody and show an irascible temper. These are all control strategies. Remember the cardinal signs of the zodiac (Capricorn, Libra, Cancer and Aries) control the changing of the seasons. In other words, they have the established role of controlling, not being controlled.

A cardinal sign, Capricorns like to orchestrate and lead any changes. Your best strategy when dealing with a Capricorn is to promote things in such a way that Capricorn feels it was their idea in the first place. Be sure to point out how it serves/supports their favorite key interests.

On the plus side, Capricorns are the most determined sign in the zodiac. They are extremely well organized and completely loyal to a fault. The easy flowing aspects offer support and protection. While harsh aspects will augment the challenges presented at this time.

What Does It Mean?

You can start your 2024 New Year with a powerful new beginning. The stable Capricorn Moon Conjunct Mars, the planet of energy and action, trines the planet Jupiter (expands any opportunities available now). Plus, Saturn, the planet of earthly manifestation, giving form and structure, is in auspicious alignment with the Moon, Sun and Mars. The lineup of celestial energy is stellar. Venus Trine to Chiron brings healing and consolation for past wounds. Uranus gives rocket boosting thrust for takeoff. The next several weeks can find you busy as a bee with what gets initiated now. Mercury is square to Neptune, so there can be a bit of momentary head fog. However, the Moon’s sextile to Neptune can turn this into a blessing. You can feel your way along and follow your intuition while also staying grounded.

ALL the planets will be direct after Uranus Stations Direct on January 27th until April 1, 2024 when Mercury Stations Retrograde for 3 weeks.

This signals your window of opportunity for forward movement to accomplish your goals and agenda items. Things can now move forward rapidly. New vistas are likely to open up for you and the global community worldwide.

We’ll still be in the post Retrograde Shadow Phase of Mercury Retrograde when Pluto Stations Retrograde for 5 months on May 2, 2024. During this 5-month period you’ll begin to get indications about what Pluto will be excavating/digging up first for regeneration and healing over the next 20 years while transiting the sign of Aquarius.

Pluto’s Order of Priority

While in the first 10 degrees of Aquarius, Pluto will focus primarily on these first two priorities.

#1) What has outworn its shelf life and has to go. We’ve been getting red alerts for some time now about these ‘items.’ However, now they can no longer be ignored, or pushed aside, or kicked down the road to be dealt with later.

#2) What is set for recovery, regeneration and healing.

Tremendous challenges, upheaval and necessary adjustments to the status quo will occur over the first 5-7 years of Pluto’s transit of Aquarius.

All things related to Taurus (2nd house), Scorpio (8th house) and Leo (5th house) are on under a great deal of stress. Why is this? Pluto will be forming a Grand Fixed Cross (by element) with Taurus, Scorpio and Leo while transiting Aquarius.

How things start is how they go! Start your 2024 New Year off right with this Capricorn New Moon Meditation.

Perform your Meditation anytime starting from the time of the New Moon up until the First Quarter Waxing Moon in Taurus on January 18th.

What you will need:

• A white candle
• Essential oil or blend - use one of the recommended oils, or blend of oils

Make sure you are in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

Light your white candle.

Dispense 1-3 drops of essential oil on a cotton ball, or smell strip and inhale the scent of your essential oil. You can also scent your space prior to your meditation using an aroma diffuser.

Gaze into the candle flame as you begin to breathe in fully and deeply and exhale any tension. Continue inhaling the scent of your oil and releasing any tension for 1-5 minutes.
