What’s It All About?

The path of the Aries Total Solar Eclipse is visible as it passes over the South Pacific Ocean and across Mexico, then the United States where it crosses Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The Aries Solar Eclipse will continue on across Southern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton, and finally exit the North American continent off the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

The areas where an Eclipse can be viewed are more likely to experience the most intense changes although everyone will be feeling the intensity of this Eclipse worldwide.

With the Aries/Libra axis eclipses we have an opportunity to end collective, immature ego driven desires that are leftover vestiges of the age of Aries (2,000 B.C.E.), that’s about 4,000 years ago. It’s time for us to grow up!

Eclipses bring what needs to change to the surface. We part with the old ways and are firmly set on new paths for greater potentials and promises for the future. Eclipses can operate subtly to bring about that change, but more often than not the changes are dramatic, knocking you off course. After which a period of adjustment ensues for six months, or longer.

Everyone has the influence of the Aries Moon in one, or more areas of their chart. Here are a few areas of your chart to look for:

• What house is Mars located in your natal chart? This is where you may feel most affected at the Aries New Moon.
• What house is the Aries new moon located in your natal chart? This is another area of your life where intense focus for initiating new intentions can occur.
• Look to your 1st house (Aries house ruled by Mars) and 8th house (Scorpio house traditional ruler Mars) - what personal planets are located in these two houses?
• What house is Mars currently transiting in your own chart?
• As Mars is currently transiting the sign of Pisces (ruled by Neptune, natural placement in the zodiac is the 12th house), all themes related to Pisces, Neptune and the 12th house are especially highlighted. Watch for the need to take initiative and action that propels more focus and action related to the unconscious mind, emotional memories, attitudes and beliefs, self-deception and addiction.

• April 8 (10:18am PT): Total Solar Eclipse in Aries at 19° 22’
• September 18 (6:34pm PT): Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces at 25° 40’
• October 2 (4:13am PT): Solar Eclipse Annular in Libra at 10° 02’
