Salt has a long history of importance in the evolution of mankind on planet earth. Salt has been prized for its healing properties since ancient times. During the middle ages salt was at the heart of the spice trade industry, highly profitable as a commodity and prized as much as gold.
In April of 1930 Mahatma Ghandhi led the famous Salt March that was an important part of the Indian independence movement. The Salt March was a 'direct action campaign of tax resistance and nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly in colonial India, and triggered the wider Civil Disobedience Movement.' (Quote from Wikipedia.org)
Of course we know the result of Ghandhi's years of peaceful protest led to the partition of India as an independent nation in 1947.
So, when you're making your 'Salt Glow' made with pure essential oil (also prized since antiquity for its healing power) think of all those people before you who treasured salt as you enjoy your refreshing spa experience.

Use organic ingredients if available.
- Small bowl
- 1-4 teaspoon favorite carrier oil (light coconut oil, jojoba, rose hip)
